The neuropsychological
evaluation measures the behavioral expression of brain dysfunction and aids in
the assessment of brain damage and distinguishing between different neurological
conditions.
The neuropsychological
evaluation consists of standardized instruments to measure the student's major
intellectual functions in all significant modalities, including but not limited
to auditory and visual receptive modalities, and spoken, written, graphic and
constructional response modalities.
The neuropsychological test battery includes
perceptual functions, visual-motor functions and manual dexterity, memory, and
socioemotional functioning. Information shall be provided about the student's
strength and weaknesses, and reference made to educational implications.
